Somehow 2023 has already come and gone. As we wrap up another year, it’s a great time to reflect on the achievements made and lessons learned along the way.
For the team at Bolster, 2023 was a year of growth and progress—adding new members to our team, supporting more clients in new ways, and continuing to evolve our platform and its capabilities.
Let’s look back on our favorite moments of 2023:
We leaned into full-time executive search to better support our customers.
You likely know Bolster for matching on-demand executives with high-growth companies, but earlier this year we announced the expansion of our offerings to include full-time executive search. In addition to helping scaling companies find executives for part-time, fractional, or project-based roles, we’re helping companies find top executive talent that aligns with their long-term vision, without sacrificing the time and budget required for traditional executive search.
We launched our Leadership Consulting practice to support executive development.
Successfully scaling a business involves more than just bringing on the right senior talent. It also requires a commitment to continual leadership development as the needs of the business evolve. That’s why we expanded our services to include Leadership Consulting. We provide comprehensive performance evaluations for CEOs, CXOs, executive teams, and boards of directors using our proprietary assessment process developed over decades of research, evaluation, and refinement.
We learned directly from more than 100 CEOs and senior leaders on The Daily Bolster podcast.
Earlier this year, we launched The Daily Bolster, a quick-hitting podcast for startup leaders scaling their businesses. So far, we’ve released more than 120 episodes featuring CEOs, senior executives, venture capitalists, and experienced operators sharing their real-world experiences and practical advice in under 10 minutes. We’ve loved connecting with so many incredible leaders, and we’re grateful for their generosity in sharing their first-hand expertise with our audience.
We matched transformational executives with high-growth startups and scaleups.
This year, we helped businesses of all sizes and scale find the senior talent they needed to take their business to the next level. From fractional executives, to full-time leaders, to independent board members, our team of experienced recruiters leveraged the Bolster network—20,000+ senior executives interested in opportunities—and our proprietary search platform, which combs through an additional 5.5 million executive profiles, to successfully deliver hundreds of executive searches.
We spent meaningful time on our business, ourselves, and our community.
The Bolster team closed out the year with our annual offsite, Accelerate, where we gathered in person to work collaboratively on the business and invest in our personal development as professionals and leaders. The highlight of our time together, though, was the opportunity to engage in the community. We partnered with Rise Against Hunger and The Million Meals Project to package 10,000 meals for communities in developing countries.
